My rest coaching sessions with Hester were essential nourishment for processing the sadness of my divorce and overcoming fear of unknowns that lie ahead.  It helped me access joy again even during my suffering.

Hi, I’m Hester.  

I love guiding and supporting women to step into a more rested life. When I started health coaching in 2010, I noticed many of the women I was supporting were simply too exhausted to make lifestyle changes. What they really needed was REST!

After experiencing the power of Yoga Nidra for myself in my personal practice, I became a Daring to Rest Certified Rest Coach and Daring to Rest Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator trained in The Rested Path™.

I believe that a consistent rest practice is essential nourishment for women, especially highly-sensitive introverts.  It helps us gain the clarity and wisdom we need to address everything else in our life, moving it in a positive direction forward.

Deep Rest with Yoga Nidra

Lie down and receive the best nap of your life with Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra. This method was designed specifically for women to release exhaustion on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and soul level.

During Yoga Nidra, you receive much needed physical and mental rest simply by following prompts for breath sensing, body sensing and guided imagery.

45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to three hours of deep sleep.

You’ll receive a recording so you can continue to rest on your own.

Embodied Practices

Deepen your relationship with rest and your body through practices such as:

  • Learning to navigate people & situations that do not feel rested.

  • Making decisions based on your energy level.

  • Discovering what type of rest your body is asking for.

  • Listening to your inner child and what she needs & wants.

  • Becoming your own inner mother to soothe your inner child.

Rest Coaching

Receive rest coaching - using The Rested Path method - on topics such as:

  • Exploring the beliefs about rest you received during childhood.

  • Acknowledging your family system’s relationship to rest.

  • Identifying what’s rested and not rested in daily and weekly routine.

  • Establishing rest boundaries with work, family, and friends.

  • Creating the time and space in your schedule for rest.

Includes ten 1:1 rest sessions and ten yoga nidra recordings to download and keep forever.

  • Sessions are available Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.

  • Choose your rest package above, purchase, and you’ll be taken to my online calendar. You can either book all your sessions at once or use a code to book them as you go.

    You’ll also be able to reschedule sessions as needed at least 48 hours prior to the schedule appointment.

  • Rest sessions are 75 minutes long.

  • After you book your rest session, you will have the option to choose a theme from a variety of topics, including honoring grief, honoring fear, tuning into wisdom & intuition, and releasing what no longer serves you.

  • Rest from the comfort of your home, anywhere in the world. Your choice of Zoom or telephone to connect. You always have the option to turn off your camera on Zoom.

  • In-person rest sessions are available in the warmer months on the screened porch. Rest in my zero-gravity chair with pillows and blankets. Held in my home in Lincolnville, Maine.

  • Gift a rest session to a woman you love. Receive a gift certificate that can be printed or emailed to her.

“Resting In”

We’ll begin with a short relaxation scan to transition into our time together and notice how you are feeling. We’ll take time to check in and share how you are arriving in our session.

What happens at a rest coaching session?

TWO

Rest with Yoga Nidra

You’ll prepare your body and mind for rest with a releasing exercise. Then, you’ll lie down in your bed or other cozy spot with blankets and pillows and enjoy a 30 - 35 minute Yoga Nidra nap. You’ll receive a recording of the Yoga Nidra so that you can rest between rest sessions.

THREE

Rest Coaching & Rest Planning

After Yoga Nidra, share any soul wisdom that comes up for you. Receive rest coaching from Hester on your choice of topics to help you establish a home rest practice and plan for a more rested lifestyle.

Deeply fulfilling

When I retired, I experienced severe pain and health issues for the first time in my life.  The grief of my sudden loss of health was immense. Working with Hester helped me honor the loss of my former identity and use my intuition to create a new vision that fulfills my deepest longings.  I am now using my gifts in ways that are deeply fulfilling and my pain is nearly gone!

Since 2020, I’ve been resting almost every day. When I prioritize 15-35 min of Yoga Nidra during the day, my sleep is deeper at night.
